Bio:

Tarra Valencic is a Registered Nurse with 5 years of cardiovascular intensive care and organ transplant experience. Prior to her career in nursing, Tarra was an Assistant Professor at Purdue University, overseeing development and instruction for the Department of Health and Kinesiology’s Applied Exercise and Health degree program. Tarra maintains certification as an Exercise Physiologist through the American College of Sports Medicine [ACSM], Senior Fitness Specialist through the National Academy of Sports Medicine [NASM], Youth Exercise Specialist [NASM], and Corrective Exercise Specialist [NASM]. Tarra's passion for teaching comes from her desire to help emerging professionals foster self-discovery, intellect, self-confidence, and define their character as an emerging professional within their field of study. Tarra strives to establish an interdisciplinary approach to education that offers students an opportunity to engage in skills that go far beyond the four walls of the classroom, providing an opportunity for personal and professional growth and development.
