| Bio: | Tara Glass is a candidate in the Educational Doctorate program at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Kentucky, with a research focus on Women in Leadership. She earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Business Adminstration and Business Communication from Spalding University in Louisville, Kentucky, in 2002 and 2005. Her career began with the United States Air Force and the Kentucky Air National Guard, where she served as an Information Management supporting warfighters for nine years. She then transitioned to Bank of America Merchant Services, serving as Assistant Vice President. In that role, she led a team of 15 direct reports—including 11 offshore team members in India—while helping merchants improve business results and manage transactional needs with Visa and MasterCard. After two decades with Bank of America, Tara returned to government service as a Contract Specialist with the Department of the Army Contracting Command overseeing contracts, along with awarding contracts within the Simplified Acquisition Threshold. In this role, she continues her commitment to supporting warfighters by addressing critical and demanding needs, which she finds both impactful and rewarding. Outside of her professional and academic work, Tara enjoys watching her daughter grow in her leadership role as a Head Volleyball Coach. Attending games and cheering from the sidelines is truly her happy place.
