Name: Sarah De La Rue
Location: Systems Office
Roles: Staff, Faculty
Title: Adjunct Faculty (IvyOnline) - ASE
Building/Room Number: N/A
Bio: I am an adjunct faculty member in the Northwest Region. I have experience teaching not only Earth Science SCIN 100 but also Physical Science SCIN 111. I have a MSc. in Geology from the University of Missouri-Rolla (2000) and a Ph.D. in Geology from the University of Idaho (2010). Besides a background in teaching, I have many years of field, research, and laboratory experience working with microfossils such as pollen, spores, fungi, and marine algae. As you can probably guess, I have a very large rock and fossil collection! In addition to being the nerdy geologist, I also have outside interests, particularly assisting livestock guardian dog (and other large breed) rescue groups with transport, fostering, and training. These dogs include Great Pyrenees, Maremmas, Akbash, Anatolican Shepherds (and St. Bernards, Irish Wolfhounds, and Newfoundlands). I am also a lover of ancient history, British mysteries, bird watching, and cross word puzzles!
