| Bio: | Instructors Biography: I have been around some sort of machinery most of my life. Right out of high school I went to work running machines and doing assembly work. After serving in the United States Army I served a four year apprenticeship receiving my Certificate from the Bureau of Apprenticeships. I stayed in the trade until my retirement in 2017, having been in industry for 45 plus years. During my time in the trade I maintained and built dies, built special machines, ran manual mills and lathes, moving on to running CNC machines. Was trained on Mitsubishi wire EDM machines operating, programing, and maintaining these for 15 plus years. Along with my responsibilities I was trained on Esprit Cam software and AutoCAD software, doing drawing, designing , and programing of the EDM machines. After retiring in March 2017 I came to Ivy Tech as a Adjunct Instructor, and student. |
