Mark’s bio

I am Mark Walker and reside in the city of Indianapolis with my wife and all my family members. I attended Indianapolis Arsenal Technical High School, Indiana University, Martin University, and Indiana Wesleyan University. 

I have owned and operated Hillside Dairy Queen, Rental property, and The Lorraine Group. I also had a successful sales career that overlapped the mentioned entrepreneurial endeavors. I have been an adjunct faculty member here with Ivy Tech Community College for 28 years, instructing, Principles of Management, Principles of Marketing, Personal Finance, Introduction to Business, Insurance Property and Casualty, and others.
 

Over my work career, I earned many awards and certificates from companies such as Glidden-Durkee Consumer Food Group, Kraft Inc., Dairy Queen International, General Petroleum, Coastal Unilube Inc, and Pennzoil/Shell Oil. 

I volunteered in organizations such as Boy Scouts of America, Big Brothers of Greater Indianapolis, and The Symphonic Praise Choir. I served as a member of the Board of the Indianapolis Entrepreneurship Academy, an affiliate of the National Entrepreneurship Academy. Currently, I have served to assist Dr. Ronda Taylor with the Venture Club at Ivy Tech. I have assisted as a Faculty Fellow in Advising, and as a Faculty Registration Assistant in the Express Enrollment Center (EEC) Financial Aid Department.
