Roles: Staff, Faculty
Title: Associate Professor F4 2 Year

Bio:

I have taught hundreds of students in their IVYT Student Success classes at Ivy Tech since I began teaching in 2008. I started out by teaching just one IVYT elective and then began teaching more sections within the Foundations of Success Department while also teaching part-time in the corrections setting. In 2014, I was hired as a full-time IVYT faculty member and in 2021, I became the Chair of the IVYT/Foundations of Success program in Indianapolis.

Over my time at Ivy Tech, I have worked diligently to become an organized instructor for my students, to learn as much as I can about teaching and my discipline, and to become fully integrated into Ivy Tech community through involvement in my students' retention, campus activities and committees.

I started my career in marketing after receiving a BA in Journalism from Indiana University. After volunteering in adult education GED classes in the evening, I worked on my MS in Special Education through IU. I've taught high school students, incarcerated students, and students with special needs and learning differences. I love introducing new students to Ivy Tech and all its resources!
