Hello! My name is Margot Jones and I am enjoying this educational journey. My present area of my expertise is Education with additional training in Psychology and Business Organization. I am currently working for Ivy Tech College and have done so as an adjunct professor for over twenty years. I serve as an instructor for the school of Liberal Arts and the School Academic Support Services. I teach both online and in a traditional class setting. My previous full time position was that of a Principal / Educational Director for our church, school and day care ministry. Our facility offered services and education for ages two years through the twelfth grade. I am proud to note we have had a ninety-nine graduation rate with a ninety-eight percent college attendance rate after high school. I was the Principal at Calvary Academy for almost thirty years and very proud of our record and service to our community. Sadly, our board elected to close the school's doors due to economic hardships and declining enrollment. As much as this rips at my heart, I realize that our lives are directed and I am now pursuing my doctorate as the next path in life. Finally, I have had many opportunities to work with students, parents, church members and the public. I have done this through a multitude of areas; whether it is by education, Red Cross activities, ministerial endeavors (I am a licensed minister), serving on various local and national boards, fostering, and more. I am a proud mother of four which I adopted after fostering the children. I enjoy seeing lives enriched by knowledge, along with developing one's personal growth. My greatest thrill is to see someone learn to connect his or her passions to meet one's potential for which I truly enjoy. Along with this opportunity I am honored to care for my mother. I also have a host of tremendous nieces and nephews, along with my four very, very active Brittany spaniels. Even with life's ups and downs, I am tremendously blessed! |
