Bio:

Marta joined Ivy Tech Community College in 2009, in Career Development, then as the Regional Director of Academic Advising, and is now full-time faculty teaching Communication for the Madison Campus. Marta has a Master Degree in Organizational Communication and a Bachelor Degree in Broadcast Journalism, both from Western Kentucky University.  She has over 20 years of experience teaching Communication for the University of Louisville and IUPUC, and for Hanover College.  She also has over 10 years of experience in the Business world, as Director of Development and Marketing for a local private school system. 

Marta enjoys community service and is involved with many local organizations from a community service group, Tri-Kappa, to the Community Foundation’s Women’s Giving Circle Board, to being the founder and chair for Leadership Jefferson County - a Leadership Academy for Madison and Jefferson County. Marta has a strong background in teaching Etiquette, specializing in Professional Presence and Table Manners, speaking to groups all over the country, but mostly right here in Indiana.

Marta has been married to Tim for 30-plus years and has four children, two-in-law children, and three grandson!
