Chef Liz Giménez is a native of Venezuela. She moved to the U.S. to pursue a college degree in business administration.  While attending college, she became the assistant to the Pastry Chef in the college dining facility. She was responsible for producing desserts and pastries for 3,500 students, teachers, and staff. She graduated with a degree in Business Administration-Management and moved to Indianapolis. Chef Liz worked as the Executive Chef of an industrial Hunger Relief program at a nonprofit organization in Indianapolis producing over 4,000 nutritious meals for at risk children, adults and senior citizens daily. While working to feed our most vulnerable members of society in Indianapolis, she completed her culinary degree at Ivy Tech Community College. Shortly afterwards, she became a Certified Chef de Cuisine. She currently teaches culinary art classes at Ivy Tech Community College in the hospitality administration department. Chef Liz became a certified ServSafe instructor and exam proctor in January of 2005, and since then she has been teaching ServSafe classes in English and in Spanish, having trained over 2,000 students.
