Mr. Murray has spent his lifetime in the field of construction. Beginning in high school, he studied at the Muncie Area Career Center as a junior and senior in the building trades class. The class was a half day every day of the week and the second half of the day was focused on academics. He owned and operated a successful renovation company for many years until the physical requirements became hard to meet. Mr. Murray decided to find work in the field which ultimately did not require strenuous work and teaching seemed to be a perfect fit. As a secondary income, Mr. Murray has also had success as a songwriter / musician and is still active in that field as well. Writing and performing in general are both high on the list of things he enjoys. Other topics of interest as of today are solar energy, energy conservation, innovative building materials & techniques and all things technology related, especially when it applies to the building trades. |
