Bio:

I have a construction engineering background with a double major in the project and risk management. I obtained my Ph.D. degree in the field of construction project management and risk management at the University of Bordeaux and my MBA degree at the IAE Bordeaux, School of Management. During my Ph.D. I worked on project and risk management for complex and strategic construction projects, especially Public-Private-Partnership (PPP), design-build-maintenance, and transportation projects, in cooperation with a major French construction company, Vinci Construction France. My Ph.D. thesis consists of the development of a formalized and systematic risk management process in a complex project environment, and I applied this process in several projects, such as building, infrastructure, and transport projects. After my Ph.D. I started working as an academic member at the University of Technology of Compiègne and then at the University of Versailles in Paris and I have taught a variety of civil engineering and construction management courses for undergraduate and graduate students. My research and teaching activities deal with project management and risk management, construction management, civil engineering, data analysis, project simulation under uncertainty, and Building Information Modeling (BIM). Besides my academic career, I am working as a project and risk management consultant. I am also an active PMI member, and instructor in the PMI Training program, having conducted project management mentoring and outreach projects and presented at global conferences and various events held by numerous chapters.
