| Bio: | I am a mother of three grown children, 2 boys and 1 girl who has been working as an RN since 1996! I know, many of you are thinking I am old enough to be your grandma, and you are probably right, I do have 2 precious grandsons. I actually started my nursing carreer as a CNA in 1994. At the time, I did not think much about it. I was just looking for a way to help support our household and my two young children. Now, looking back, I believe my CNA certification helped lift me out of poverty and gave me confidence to pursue my nursing degrees. I obtained my LPN in 1995, then continued to obtain my ADN in 1996. At that point, I thought I had completed my schooling, but every good nurse knows we never stop learning! Took me a while but I finally obtained my BSN 2008. Still debating what my next degree might be. I imagine many of you may be in situations similar to mine when I was starting out and I want to be here to help you progress. I see this course as your level up opportunity and hope that if you work diligently you will have the knowledge to pass your certification exam. I can not wait to see how each of you will change the world! I am eager to assist you in anyway that I can. You should be aware that as adjunct faculty, I am still working in other roles.
