Bio:

Greetings!  My name is Chris McQuillin. I am excited to be a part of the Ivy Tech Faculty Team as an Instructor in the IvyOnline Program.  I formerly served as the Criminal Justice Program Chair at the Ivy Tech Lake County Campus.  I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wabash College with a major in Economics, and a Juris Doctor degree from Valparaiso University School of Law. I worked as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney in LaPorte, Porter, and Lake Counties in Indiana, and I represented clients as a private attorney for approximately 10 years. I spent 15 years as a Civilian Administrator with the Lake County Indiana Sheriffs Department (Commander Rank), and now work for the Lake County Civil Courts. I have been teaching College courses for about 20 years at a number of different schools.  I am also an Adjunct Faculty member at Valparaiso University in my 11th year teaching both undergrads and graduate students.  I am passionate about Criminal Justice, American Political History, American Government, Strategic Planning and Legal Issues. For fun, I play the bagpipes in the Lake County Sheriff's Department Pipes and Drums.
