Clarissa Andrews holds the dual role of Director of Adult Recruitment and Coordinator of the Achieve Your Degree (AYD) program. With a dedication to guiding both potential new and returning students, as well as continuing students, she offers support for their educational needs, concerns, and general inquiries. Clarissa's primary responsibility is ensuring that students and employees progress towards academic success. She aids potential students in identifying career paths aligning with their interests and ensures they are paired with an academic advisor to navigate their course selections effectively. With previous experience as Director of Academic Advising, Clarissa possesses the expertise to connect students with the appropriate resources as required. Over the past eight years, she has served diligently in the role of Director of Adult Recruitment at the Richmond campus.

Clarissa's passion lies in serving the student community at Ivy Tech. Having once been a college student herself, she empathizes with the challenges students face. With over 30 years of experience in community college settings, Clarissa earned her Master of Science degree in Education, specializing in Counseling and Guidance, in March 2008. Additionally, she brings over 15 years of expertise in transfer and career guidance to her role. Education has been a fulfilling career choice for Clarissa, and she is eager to continue supporting students in their academic journeys. Notably, she enjoys teaching Interpersonal Communication and finds great joy in assisting students with their academic pursuits.
