Clarissa Andrews serves as the Director of Adult Recruitment and Coordinator of the Achieve Your Degree (AYD) program. In these roles, she is dedicated to supporting new, returning, and continuing students by addressing their educational needs, concerns, and inquiries. Her primary focus is helping students and employees achieve academic success. Clarissa assists prospective students in identifying career paths aligned with their interests and ensures they are paired with an academic advisor for effective course selection. With her previous experience as the Director of Academic Advising, she has the expertise to connect students with the appropriate resources as needed. For the past eight years, she has served as the Director of Adult Recruitment at the Richmond campus.

Clarissa is passionate about serving the Ivy Tech student community. Having been a college student herself, she understands the challenges they face. With over 30 years of experience in community college settings, she holds a Master of Science in Education with a specialization in Counseling and Guidance, earned in March 2008. She also brings extensive experience in transfer and career guidance to her role. Clarissa finds fulfillment in her career in education and is committed to supporting students on their academic paths. She particularly enjoys teaching Interpersonal Communication (COMM 102) and Student Success (IVYT 111). Clarissa takes great pride in helping students succeed.
