Bobbi Derheimer is an Adjunt Faculty member and experienced industrial worker. During her career she has worked in the nuclear power generation and automotive fields in varying facets and positions. She believes in hard work, collaboration, and a willingness to learn to achieve success. Her interest in industry began with serving in the United States Navy as a nuclear machinist mate, where she was a subject matter expert for her rate. During this time she completed the requirements for a Bachelors of Science in Applied Science and Technology from Thomas Edison State University. From there, her life took her to Southern Indiana where she began a career working at Bedford Casting Operations, a General Motors facility, fulfilling varying roles that crossed between maintenance, production, launch implementation, lean manufacturing, and quality. A passion for problem solving drove her getting a lean six sigma certification. In her free time, she enjoys time with her husband and family, reading, gardening, an generally seeking sunshine. |
