Bio:

Autumn received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Criminal Justice/Criminology from Ball State University Honors College in May 1996. She later earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Ball State University in December 2003. Autumn began as an adjunct faculty member with the Central Indiana region in January 2005. In January 2011, she assumed the role of Assistant Professor of psychology for East Central Region (Muncie). In 2013, she was promoted to Associate Professor, and in August 2018, she was granted a promotion to full professor (F5). Autumn's work experience includes the Department of Child Services, Adult and Child Mental Health Center, Indiana University/Riley Hospital, and private psychological practice as a clinical evaluator and therapist. By remaining active in the psychology field, she can marry the real life experiences with the textbook theories and applications to create a better learning experience for her students. Autumn is passionate about teaching and loves the Ivy Tech community and students. Autumn teaches Introduction to Psychology, Lifespan Development, Abnormal Psychology, Social Psychology, Health Psychology, Human Sexuality, and Research Methods/Capstone for Psychology students. She is committed to service learning and has included a component of this in each of her classes. She is married and has two children. Outside of Ivy Tech, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Steve, and their beautiful dogs, Luka and Lily, as well as traveling, reading, and working out. She loves leopard print and the Golden Girls and you'll never see her without a smile or her Starbucks iced tea.
