Amy discovered her passion for wellness through her own journey of overcoming chronic health challenges. Prioritizing exercise, healthy eating, and stress management inspired her to help others do the same.

She has served as the Wellness Coach and Manager at Ivy Tech since 2013, following previous work as a Health Advocate at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital.

Amy holds two bachelor’s degrees from USI and a master’s degree in Education with a focus on Student Learning and Wellbeing from the University of Missouri. She is a certified Wellness Coach with a strong background in mental health, including certifications in Adult and Youth Mental Health First Aid, ASIST, and QPR (Question-Persuade-Refer). Amy was honored with the 2021 Individual Award in Health & Social Services from Leadership Everyone’s Celebration of Leadership and was also a 2018 nominee.

Beyond work, Amy lives what she teaches. She volunteers with organizations like No One Dies Alone, enjoys traveling, hiking, and kayaking, and has led pet therapy programs at Ivy Tech, including Paws ’N Relax. She also created the campus Relaxation Lounge to support student and employee mental health.
