Bio:

I was honorably discharged from the US Army after serving four years on active duty as an ECM/DF Systems Repairman. After the Army I earned a Bachelor in Electrical Engineering (82) from Southeastern Massachusetts University (which is now UMass) and was hired by GE in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. At GE I worked on many defense related programs such as the Trident II and Bradley. I was also enrolled in the Edison Engineering Program and Advanced Course in Engineering. At the conclusion of the Advanced Course I received a Masters of Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (85). In 1988 I left GE and began work at ITT Geospatial Systems in Fort Wayne, Indiana. At ITT I worked on many space and defense related programs to include SINCGARS, GOES and POES. I also earned a VBSS Greenbelt (04) and VBLSS Black Belt (10) from the University of Michigan and ITT Industries, respectively. In 2008 I was accepted into the PhD program for Systems Engineering at Stevens Institute of Technology. Since then I have completed all PhD course work and earned a Graduate Certificate in Space System Engineering. I left ITT GS in May, 2011 and started work as the new Program Chair of Engineering Technology at Ivy Tech Community College.
